I meet Eric when he was at Thakoon, and was planning and rolling out the complete IT landscape. Fresh ERP, eCommerce platform and mobile retail platform, all in 8 months - amazing job! For us as a startup, Thakoon was also our launch customer. Eric greatly helped us with his expertise and feedback to shape the product in the right way and deliver the product and the project in a timely manner. His input was extremely valuable and we wouldn’t be where we are today. I hope there is an opportunity to work again with him.
When first taking Thakoon Direct to Consumer, all new systems had to be put in place to support this new direction of the business. And as with most of these initiatives, time was not on our side! We had less than 6 months to get everything done, but under Eric's skilled guidance and leadership, Microsoft Dynamics AX was implemented in parallel with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and a in-store retail technology. This is not an easy feat, and it was an incredible amount of work and coordination to accomplish in a short amount of time. But it was accomplished and all systems launched without delay, which is truly a testament to Eric's abilities as a technology leader.
I was directly reported to Eric when I worked in Thakoon as the manager of back-office systems. Eric is a true leader who is very passionate about his profession and can always inspire the team and share his knowledge and experiences on new technologies and business trends. He was a great manager who was approachable and open to discuss new idea with the team. He would also provide his guidance and support to the team whenever necessary to ensure team were in the right direction, and also provided a great room of flexibility for his managers to manage tasks in their ways. It was a really pleasant and enjoyable experience to work in Eric's team. Thank you Eric!
